Bud came to Alaska in 1951. Carol in 1975.
In 1998 they designed & began to build their home. They worked continuously for 18 months opening their B&B in November, 1999. They enjoy visiting with their guests who come from all corners of the Earth. They love to share their tales and experiences of being long time Alaskans.
In 2001 they designed, built, and opened "The Ice Cream Shop" where they enjoy serving ice cream treats to children of all ages.
Both are active in Alaskan outdoor activities. During summer they hike, bike, run, kayak, climb local mountains, and of course fish. During winter they Alpine and cross country ski and occasionally enjoy a snow machine ride in the gorgeous Alaskan back country. Year round they are known to swim laps in the local pools.
They have 5 children and 12 grandchildren all of which are Alaskan residents.
They enjoy living in & being active in the Girdwood community.
